Beth Winter (Diane Keaton), wife of a self-absorbed surgeon named Joseph (Kevin Kline), is decidedly lonely. One day while out driving with her daughter, Grace (Elisabeth Moss), Beth rescues a stray dog and later decides to keep it. Kasdan at the helm of such a powerful cast, where could one go wrong? Well, someone forgot to bring a script. Freeway, Freeway, where are you Freeway? This, coupled with seemingly pointless characters without any real development is pretty much the extent of the story line. Even the dog lacked enough screen time for us to firm any sort of attachment.

Synopsis
