Audience Member I was actually quite interested in the film in the beginning, but when she is going to get on the airplane, it felt like the end of the movie. Unfortunately I was bored with the third act and tuned out a bit. The acting and directing were pretty solid. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Stuart Gordon directed this for television, but had no hand in writing it. I would say that it shows. This has some things going for it ... it's kind of nice to see Mia Sara get a role bigger than her largely thankless role in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and Perkins is always a welcome addition. Still, I think the plot and dialogue are pretty terrible. It's interesting to see a young Jack Coleman so many years before "Heroes" ... there's that too I guess. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Familiar credits, familiar story, yet the characters are uninspired and slow. It takes a while for the action to pick up, and it never goes far enough. Some decent low-budget make-up, but in the end, it's just another generic vampire flick. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member It is no From Beyond but this a solid movie by Stuart Gordon. Anthony Perkins playing a Romanian vampire is just strange Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Mia Sara plays the most adorable screen queen you've ever seen and for a while puts the lines through some real emotions and rhythms. It's got style for a television movie, and Stuart Gordon chooses the right make-up effects to make the TV audience the most uncomfortable. Anthony Perkins doesn't embarrass himself. The script can get embarrassing though, especially to Jack Coleman. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member When I saw this as a kid it was terrifying. Watching it again a few years ago it was anything but. It was still an ok vampire flick, just not as scary as I remembered.
