Sean L. McCarthy Decider Unlike his previous effort three years ago for Netflix, something feels a bit off here. Perhaps Spade’s proven formula of sarcastically commenting on Hollywood is producing diminishing returns. May 8, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Leah B I’m a huge fan of Spade, but this special is not funny. I spent the entire hour feeling sorry for him, because I know he is talented and so good with one-liners. I saw him appear live twice on his most recent tour, and I was basically drooling both times with the realization that I was even in his presence. However, the shows I attended, about six months apart, were completely different. In Detroit he was not great, in Asheville he blew me away. I’m so glad I went for round two. Similarly, Dandelion had completely different material from both shows I attended. I applaud him for constantly writing and trying new material, but I would think that a pro would know and use their best material for a taping. It’s not for him. If you’re looking for some of Spade’s best work, look up Take The Hit. It is his comedy special from 1997. I’ve watched it countless times and it is to die for. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/18/25 Full Review Ken W This was pretty terrible maybe 1 or 2 good bits. But it's clear he's not working out this material (AGAIN) on the road before he films his special. It's a lot of made up situations that he claims he was in that frankly were not funny. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 05/27/25 Full Review Audience Member Hilarious! Spade is as sharp as ever! His quick lines and funny anecdotes mean laughs throughout the entire special. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/14/25 Full Review S F Just watched it. Love Spudly, he's so chill, good random jokes. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/10/25 Full Review Trevor M I wish I could get the 30 minutes I endured back. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/10/25 Full Review Marc Z David Spade has been around a long time. He is still really, really funny. His self-effacing humor runs the gamut from ordinary to the inane, but always with his personal take on life. I find his delivery to be hysterical. I love his storytelling. I have seen many, many stand ups from him. They are always fresh and original and always funny. His take on being a celebrity and on celebrity encounters is so funny. This one is worth seeing. I laughed out loud a lot. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/06/25 Full Review Read all reviews
