SpontaneousWeasel While spade still has bags of charisma in his delivery, the material was poor with his collection of out of touch 'rich Hollywood guy' isms. Feels like a vapid performance. The dude needs to run his material through the club circuit to tighten it more next time. A lot of the material was the same as what's in this special, but so what? The audience loved him then, and I thought he was great in this show. He does not pander to the politically correct audience -- good -- and he's just straight up funny. We've lost too many of the great, "experienced" comedians in the last year or two. Spade has a style of joke telling and choice of content that is authentic to who he is. Long live David Spade!
