Katie Walsh Los Angeles Times The film, directed by veteran filmmaker Daniel Petrie Jr., attempts to stuff too many elements into the premise. Jun 4, 2015 Full Review Eddie Goldberger New York Daily News "Dawn Patrol" has a lot on its plate and manages to drop it all. Rated: 1/5 Jun 3, 2015 Full Review Clayton Dillard Slant Magazine The opposite of enlightenment, the film hides its anxieties behind a mlange of third-rate grit and playful xenophobia. Rated: 1/4 May 31, 2015 Full Review MaryAnn Johanson Flick Filosopher A repulsive and disgustingly manipulative roundrobin of revenge that veers from softcore porn to an emotionally ignorant parody of a family drama. Jun 16, 2015 Full Review Chris Barsanti Film Journal International By the time the film gets to a genuinely interesting moment in the final scenes it will be hard for most viewers to stop stifling their laughter. Audience Member I only got through 27 minutes of the movie. Who writes this shit. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review dave j No plot movie which centers on it's series of events, starring Scott Eastwood as surfer, John Piper seeking retribution after learning about his younger brother's untimely death with unsatisfactory revelations as the movie progresses. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member throughout our lives we are told that the difference between evil and confused is the gray area in the middle. this movie exemplifies this. while it is not the best acting in the world, I believe this film should receive and deserve a watch from you based on the pure fact that the message portrayed is well thought out and dramatically played out. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Pretty bloody awful with a completely ridiculous storyline and an annoying abrupt ending. Scott Eastwood is the best thing in it, which isn't difficult, but it gets one star just cos he's pretty to look at! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Scott Eastwood needs to pick better scripts than this to walk in his fathers footsteps. The film feels long despite its 87 minute running time and has a weak script with characters doing dumb things. It's watchable but forgettable. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Dawn Patrol feels like wanting to tell a complicated story, twisted by unrealistic characters, but ends confusing it more. It is sad and depressing, and the flashback strategy, poor script and severe direction only worsen it. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Read all reviews
