While the story doesn’t always work (the slow-burn pacing forces the audience to hyper-focus on the script to a delirious degree), Day of a Lion does feel like an important moment for the filmmakers. Go to Full Review

Day of a Lion is well worth the watch for its performances, set pieces, and undeniable reflections on what it means to grow up and still not have full control. Go to Full Review

Les N Nov 25 Anything non-American is reviewed poorly. See more Shawn N @shawn70 Nov 23 I am assuming many of the glowing reviews here must have been in the production circle. I was very disappointed by this one. The review looked enticing but this turned out to be a dragging dud. The performances within the first 15 minutes struck me as being like an amateur drama club, overboard and unrealistic. Psychological? It floats along at a dragging pace, using irritating sounds and deadpan emptiness to muster a dramatic setting, but in the end doesn't work. I expected so much more out of this and waited a long time for it to stream but when the end credits roll, it felt like an underwhelming waste of time. Will have you on your toes for every second of it. I can’t wait to see what they do next! See more Alan C Oct 16 Fantastic thriller filled with family politics. Acting is strong, cinematography is strong and the story is engaging the entire way through. Highly recommend as an independent film that’s engaging and entertaining! See more Fenyx R Oct 14 Both sisters performances were fantastic, but Bianca’s acting really stood out to me. She did a fantastic job, and you could really feel her emotion. The movie is both dark and funny. I was very impressed! See more Read all reviews
