Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express Days of Glory has some exceptional performances by its lead actors. May 2, 2019 Full Review Jonathan F. Richards Film.com Instead of guys named Danny and Polack and Sol and Brooklyn, you've got guys named Said and Yassir and Messaoud and Abdelkader. But it's the same deal. Prick them, do they not bleed? Blow them up, do their limbs not scatter and their guts not spill? May 22, 2007 Full Review Jonathan Trout BBC.com Its message is dimmed by a procession of war and race movie clichés that even the excellent cast and epic cinematography cannot revive. Rated: 3/5 Apr 3, 2007 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins An exquisite look into a rarely examined aspect of WWII, full of behavioral examinations and informative messages. Rated: 7/10 Nov 21, 2020 Full Review Ard Vijn ScreenAnarchy As a war movie "Days of Glory" is competent although not extraordinary. But if you like war movies you'd be crazy not to watch it. Tim P An intensely moving, enlightening film well made and acted. I'm so pleased I saw it. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/24 Full Review dave s Set in 1943, when a ragtag group of Moroccans and Algerians soldiers join the Allied forces to help liberate France, it quickly becomes evident that they are held to a different standard, used primarily as fodder for Axis bullets to determine where the German forces are encamped. Bolstered by strong performances from a mostly unknown cast and some stirring battle sequences, most notably the final push to liberate Alsace, Days of Glory is a powerful war film that brings attention to flagrant racism that existed within the ranks as Muslim soldiers, beyond being considered expendable in the war effort, are refused leave, provided with limited rations, and, many years later, denied their war pensions. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Liam D Why I like Foreign War movies than English Language is because it shows more depth to what was going on and this is no exception Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/23/21 Full Review Audience Member A good, but not great, WW2 movie. It is rare to get the perspective of the French Armed Forces during the war. It's even more rare to follow a group of colonial soldiers. Worth watching if you are a fan of the genre. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member pretty ordinary. also only watch if you understand french or you will be reading the whole damn thing. distracting. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Predictable low rent French rubbish. The story starts off with the North African corps enlisted by the French to fight their war. Inevitably causing 2 hours of ethnic arguing against the French with little fighting for a WW2 film. A sad WW2 film.. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
