Jonathan Garcia Dynamic Duel Podcast Overall I'd say I wasn't as happy with this DC Showcase collection as I've been with others. ... As a whole, the entire collection somewhat slants in a negative or cynical direction. Rated: 2.5/5 Jan 6, 2023 Full Review Jeffrey Lyles Lyles' Movie Files As an eclectic grab bag of DC characters, this DC Showcase is worth checking out, but it would have been a stronger recommendation if Constantine and The Losers weren’t as needlessly violent. Rated: 7/10 May 6, 2022 Full Review Sam Stone CBR For any fan of Warner Bros. Animation's past DC projects, DC Showcase: Constantine - The House of Mystery is a solid addition to the line. bulletproof2k This is the great animated adaptation of the universe from DC. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Carlos I Cool little short. I'm always happy to get more Constantine action, so it was a nice treat. Just wish it were a bit longer than 27 minutes. If you're a fan of to the output from DC animation, and you have a darker sense of humor then you're sure to like this. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/24/22 Full Review Audience Member Enjoyed Constantine’s short. Kamandi was interesting I had never heard of the comic before. The Losers seemed pointless to me. Blue Beetle had a good retro feel. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/21/22 Full Review BillHimmel Lousy! Unrelated, poorly written short stories! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/30/22 Full Review Justin M Constantine: The House of Mystery may just be a short, but its story and characters are enough to keep Constantine fans happy, while leaving DC Animated Movie Universe fans feeling hopeful and definitely wanting for more. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/25/22 Full Review Audience Member Not really what you could call a movie as it is made up of four parts, each one shorter than the last. It starts with Constantine - The House of Mystery, the longest deals with John's fate after DC's Justice League Dark: Apokolips War. Then is followed by a Kamandi episode, an adventure with the Losers. Finally, the shortest one coming in at only 15 minutes is one made to look like a cartoon from the '60s or '70s featuring Blue Beetle and other Charlton heroes. All of them, except the last, are bleak and violent. But not in a good way. Love, Death & Robots shows how you can do that sort of thing and do it well without needing to make it a downer to be mature. These seemed rushed, well-acted, but poorly written, with gore and obscenities tossed in not because the store needs it but to make them "adult." The only one I could warm to was the last, which was like a rejected, lost episode of the former DC series Brave and the Bold only with the Blue Beetle and Question instead of Batman. I at least got a couple of laughs out of that one. On the whole not recommended unless you are a real John Constantine fan. But you still probably won't be happy with it.
