Mike Massie Gone With The Twins Thanks to Stan Winston’s makeup effects, the bloodshed is one of the more redeeming qualities. Rated: 5/10 Sep 22, 2022 Full Review Josh Goller Spectrum Culture What begins as communal folk horror mixes in themes of body snatching, zombies, witchcraft and mad science as its mystery is gradually unraveled. What more could you want? Sep 22, 2022 Full Review Tony Crawley Starburst The film rushes into self- immolation. Jul 27, 2022 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy It has slowly found its audience over the ensuing years, which is only proper for a movie as distinct as this one. Rated: 3/4 Jul 24, 2021 Full Review Emma Wolfe SpookyAstronauts It doesn't really make much sense, and... towards the end it completely loses me but I really do think this is a good time and a great 80s flick. Rated: 6/10 Oct 26, 2020 Full Review Sergio Benítez Espinof The film unexpectedly rises above many others titles of the genre that came to us thirty years ago. Painin T It's zombie movie. Yes, not the brightes of all genres. And it's still pretty hard core, the effects. But, the end is, in my opion, what makes a movie a good one or a bad one. I really like this one. I didn't see that one coming, maybe others did, I didn't. I see way worse acting nowadays. It's pretty 80s, of course it's from the 80s. It's a time document as well. It's not the typical zombie movie, it's stepping out of line. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/06/25 Full Review Cody S. (SPOILER ALERT) So…. this movie started very slow for me. I thought the initial twist in the beginning was clever, but I found the plot boring and hard to follow throughout the first maybe 45 minutes or so of the film. I have to say, the last 25-ish minutes of this movie are phenomenal. I just can’t bring myself to rate the movie any higher just because of the slow build not working for me, personally. The twists at the end, because there are multiple, and they all work, are done to perfection in my opinion. I’m so glad I didn’t turn this movie off halfway through because I was close. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/06/25 Full Review Jason H The first 20 minutes or so are great. The movie is ultimately sunk by poor dialogue, worse ADR, nighttime scenes that appear to have been filmed through chocolate milk, and additional footage featuring an awful makeup effect that was clearly not accomplished by Stan Winston. This movie needs a remake - hopefully made by a competent director. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/15/25 Full Review Andy F Unusually subtle for the 80s but still full of 80s horror staples. Quite reminiscent of The Fog atmosphere wise but a lot more sophisticated. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/23/24 Full Review Tristen M Dead & Buried is a zombie flick that was ahead of its time. Very unique, entertaining and unsettling. 10/10. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/09/24 Full Review Jelisije J An enjoyable horror film that keeps you guessing what is happening in this small town that I never would want to visit.
