07/26/2020 Kelcey Watson is the only actor in this that isn't unbearable. Dead by Dawn has got a pretty interesting (though not 100% original) concept to start from, but not the budget to execute it in an engaging way. Low- and no-budget films can still be great, but they have a much harder fight to struggle through to get to that point, and Dead by Dawn lost that fight. See more 04/18/2020 "Dead By Dawn" is a strong low budget thriller with plenty of suspense and thrills. The film starts off dark and with blunt force. It never really relinquishes. There is only a few moments where the story pauses for some character building, but soon the violence begins again. The acting is better than I expected. The cast seem to understand the characters and feel fully committed. There are a few scenes that waver close to amateurish, but it never really dampens the film's flow. Plus there is a strong female lead that impressively embraces the final girl banner. The horror is mostly built on dark circumstances, chilling atmosphere, and impending danger. There are some violent, bloody moments that sweeten the horror level. Still, "Dead By Dawn" manages to hold your attention purely on the relatable horrors of domestic violence, home invasion and some true psycho killers. I enjoyed this little indie film more than I thought I would. Check it out. See more 04/11/2020 Is it ethical to rate a movie 5 stars because you're co-starring in it? No. Do I care? Also no. See more 04/10/2020 Although you would expect some kind of a zombie movie, its just a "lets rape a girl, let her run away and fortify themselves in a strangers home" thing. The fighting and blood scene were poorly executed, the actors were incredibly cringy and annoying besides the savior guy.
