Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews Has a few bright spots, such as a campy Zucco rising from the dead to chant a black arts mantra. Rated: C+ Mar 10, 2007 Full Review David Cornelius DVDTalk.com It all fizzles under lackluster direction, a story that drags, and a conflict that ultimately just isn't that interesting, let alone frightening. Chris M This was the dumbest movie to ignore the rules of the vampire until "The Twilight Saga" becomes a thing. But as bad as this is it's still better than any "Twilight" movie. Like "The Mad Monster" things only happen for plot. Plus the evil and good twin was cliché even way back in 1943. Like a lot of bad movies if the runtime was long than a tad over an hour they would have time to explain things. But I guess budget or the studios made these short lengths. Which honestly ends up ruining what could have been classics. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/15/22 Full Review william k Pretty bad low-budget horror movies is mainly risible, but entertainingly so. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Above average script, editing, & special effects for a cheap B-movie. Brothers vying for supremacy makes for a nice variation of the vampire genre. Zucco is exceptional in the leading roles of this campy flick. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Probably one of the lowest budget films you'll ever see that you'll totally love! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Long... ennuyant... il se passe rien, on peut pas tellement appeler ça un film d'horreur non plus. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review andy f Pretty good 40s horror with masterful performances by the underrated George Zucco. Dwight Frye pops up in his usual role too. A reasonably straight vampire movie that starts better than it ends. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
