While the film tries to pick up where it left off, neither the cast, nor the script is strong enough to carry it through to make it interesting. This was painfully boring to watch, and by the time any zombies do actually make it on screen, you're almost rooting for them because you care so little about the characters and their motives.

2 out of 5 stars. Dead Rising Endgame is a disappointing sequel to the action zombie genre. Worst than the first movie. First of all the plot is boring. About a government conspiracy and cover ups with the zombrex chips. While the good guys have to travel into a quarantined infected city to stop there servers. Yes. Some things do get left open. Maybe for another sequel. It also lacks the action than the first. But when Chase does fight against zombies. It does get entertaining and creative for those rare moments. Especially during the escalators scene. Also a new addition is the zombies are faster and stronger which makes it a little exciting. The acting has yet to improve. The script and direction is filled with bad dialogue. Slow and boring direction with its sub plot. And uneven pacing. I hope they get to reboot the adaptations and make better movies out of them.

I absolutely loved the movie. I knew it wasn't going to be some high quality production but it knew what it was and didn't take itself too seriously. Great time. The zombie action was MUCH better in this one.
