Being human is challenging, and being a ghost is not a cakewalk! Rookie realizes she has only 28 days left before fading away. Makoto, a ghost agent, invites her to team up with the washed-up ghost champion Catherine. Their mission is to revive the legend of haunting ghosts in The Lucky Hotel. In the afterlife, ghosts must be frightening enough to survive. The world after death is far from idyllic. "I don't want to be forgotten by this world!" becomes their final conviction. The ghosts about to sink without trace strive to become the scariest legends. They believe, "As long as you have the talent to scare, you will be seen!"

Tasha Robinson Polygon Hsu frames the biggest action sequences as reality competition shows or prank shows, giving the whole movie an agreeably light, goofy tone that operates at breakneck speed. He steers hard into the comedy side of horror-comedy, but pours on the fake blood. Rated: 82/100 Mar 27, 2025 Full Review Katie Rife IndieWire At its heart, Dead Talents Society is an affectionate ode to East Asian horror cinema, and its earnestness -- and silliness -- are key to its appeal. Rated: B+ Sep 27, 2024 Full Review Emma Wolfe SpookyAstronauts It's not the deepest film you'll ever see, by far, but it is unique and so fun. It's purely entertaining horror with a lot of heart. Rated: 8/10 Mar 31, 2025 Full Review Walter Chaw Film Freak Central Although some have compared Dead Talents Society to Beetlejuice, its closest analogue is Shrek. Rated: 1/5 Nov 20, 2024 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews A well-crafted supernatural horror/comedy. Rated: B- Nov 8, 2024 Full Review Michele "Izzy" Galgana ScreenAnarchy I recommend Dead Talents Society for a ghostly good time. Oct 22, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

William S A fantastically off the wall horror comedy with a lot of heart, a great level of world building, and an ending that brings it all together. The humour is smart with its application and it's buckets of blood will sate the appetite of any horror fan without being overly gorey. Highly recommended. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/25 Full Review Julian G It really isn't a horror movie its more of a lighthearted comedy but even still I adore it. I've never really felt like any movie with a wholesome message could really capture the mature audience's attention but it just executes the heartfelt moments and subtle morals perfectly. Overall a fun watch and an instant classic in my book Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/25 Full Review B P An Instant Horror Comedy Classic Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/29/25 Full Review 博瀚 賴 As a Taiwanese, I can guarantee this movie is so wholesome that it connects with the local folktales tightly but still fun like nothing else for everyone to enjoy. There ain't many movies that can make me LMFAO but still cry a bit with the price of one ticket only. Highly recommended, has been to theaters for this 3 times and it just never gets boring.
