KEVIN C Out in the country a woman's husband mysteriously is killed in their barn. Their property very close to a strict Amish community that the victim was ostracized from. Wes Craven directs this creepy mostly due to Ernest Borgnine's Amish beard horror/mystery. Maren Jensen plays the lead supported by a young Sharon Stone, Jeff East, Lisa Hartman and Michael Berryman. Fun watchable eighties horror from the master of the genre. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/20/22 Full Review daniel l The most of the movie is entertaining and it has good suspense. But the movie fell apart in the last 20 seconds (the ending). I am not sure why they used that ending, it didn't fit the movie at all. Otherwise the movie is actually not bad. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Craven hadn’t quite hit his stride with this preposterous story that’s uneven in style, tone, & pacing and goes absolute bat-sh*t in the third act. The music is full-lactose cheese & Borgnine is a decaf Brother Theodore. #nitrosMovieChallenge Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/04/22 Full Review Damian L It was okay for a Wes Craven film Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/06/23 Full Review Otvio F Deadly Blessing is headless, questionable script and unfortunately Wes Craven was not really inspired at the time. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/06/21 Full Review steve d One of Craven's weakest but it has some fun moments. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Phil Edwards Starburst Deadly Blessing is no masterpiece to be sure, but it does make for an entertaining old fashioned horror movie, and amidst the welter of slash and stalk gore, this is welcome indeed. Jul 28, 2022 Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com this is lurid stuff, and probably all the better for the fetid, no-holds-barred atmosphere. Rated: 3/5 Mar 3, 2022 Full Review Charles Webb MTV On paper, a slasher-thriller with supernatural overtones, Deadly Blessing is instead a series of loosely connected parts. Jul 3, 2018 Full Review Andreas Samuelson Slasherpool One of Wes Craven's best films, an oddball but often scary thriller mixing elements from religious, slasher, snake, spider and monster flicks Rated: 4/5 Jul 11, 2005 Full Review Emanuel Levy EmanuelLevy.Com Rated: 2/5 Jul 9, 2005 Full Review Frank Swietek One Guy's Opinion Rated: 1/5 Aug 26, 2004 Full Review Read all reviews
