James Agee TIME Magazine Even tardily, as it comes to the screen, it is still reasonably entertaining. Mar 2, 2018 Full Review Jack Moffitt Esquire Magazine The hit play becomes a mediocre picture. You can't blame the script. Arthur Sheekman's screenplay retains almost all of Krasna's good dialogue. Audience Member The best comedy movie ever made! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Cute postwar film, with a wonderful performance from William Holden, Billy DeWolfe and Edward Arnold provide superb support. The basic plot is a young girl has been writing to a soldier for quite some time, but she uses her older sisters name. Then he comes to town for a visit. Funny premise, great screenplay. Very enjoyable. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member I think I must have watched this a hundred times, until I knew every sigh and every word! Wish I could buy it on DVD... not just wait for the re-runs! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member It's sad how forgotton this movie has become. Creative story, and a cast that had excellent chemistry make this romantic comedy a must-see. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A cute and unique romantic comedy set during WWII in which a trouble-making girl gets her older sister involved with a officer who has been away at war. I don't want to give anything away, so go watch it. Billy De Wolfe and Edward Arnold are great comedic side characters. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
