Jimmy What starts off as a promising well timed nuanced comedy quickly descends into a second rate slap stick farce advocating the sexual assault of the main protagonist's mother. At best utterly bizarre and at worst rather sinister… Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/17/23 Full Review Fox Genuinely the worst movie I have ever seen in my life. This man spends the film trying to assault his mother on screen and is labelled as a comedy?? I made an account on here specifically to give this movie a terrible review. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/04/23 Full Review Eva P Best I've seen in a long time. Beautifully out of left field, lovely detail that makes you rewind to make sure you saw what you think you saw, like a blinking tiger in a Rousseau painting, and not a cliché in sight! Not just funny, but witty, too. I will definitely watch it again. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/29/22 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Beatrice Loayza New York Times Beyond the pleasurable chaos of it all, the gags about female genitalia grow trite and juvenile - and not in a lovable way. Jan 12, 2022 Full Review Jason Flatt But Why Tho? A Geek Community This could have been an interesting movie about so many things with a weird, humorous vehicle for the plot. But instead, [Dear Mother] is just an embarrassing attempt to make light of something that isn’t funny under any circumstance. Rated: 2.5/10 Jan 5, 2023 Full Review JK Sooja Common Sense Media This comedy is often wacky and ridiculous, but too much of its chaos is too hard not to grimace at. Rated: 2/5 Mar 3, 2022 Full Review John Serba Decider Dear Mother is a consistently entertaining comedy designed to challenge sensibilities... although it's not for the weak. Jan 13, 2022 Full Review Roger Moore Movie Nation "Out there," uneven and a little sluggish out of the gate, with some of the silly simply not translating or not coming across. But you will laugh, if only occasionally. Rated: 2/4 Jan 11, 2022 Full Review Jonathon Wilson Ready Steady Cut But far from feeling exploitative, Dear Mother feels like a throwback to a looser era of big-screen comedies that were less prudish and socially conscious. You wouldn't want every film to be like this one, but it's nice they're still being made. Rated: 3.5/5 Jan 11, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews
