Claudio C Death Train (2003) Flawed Straight-to-Video Action Movie (11,925 - 19 Sep 2025 – by Claudio Carvalho) While traveling from Estes, Colorado, to Los Angeles, the thief Weaver (Mitchum Bentley) with his three-men gang steal US$ 9 million dollars in diamonds and kill ten men in the train, including the security team. The chief of the security team, Ryan (Bryan Genesse), survives wounded in the train crash. When he is healed, he flies to Mexico and meets his friend, Chief of Police Salazar “Sal” (Bentley Anthony Rosas) and informs him where Weaver and his gang will negotiate the diamonds. Ryan goes with Saul on his police raid and Weaver; his girlfriend and the gang are arrested. Soon the inmates are transported by train to the United States, but a corrupt police officer gives the key to the cuffs to Weaver. Soon the prisoners take the train, kill the police officers and use the passengers as hostages. Now Ryan is the hope to save them from the psychopath Weaver and his crew. “Death Train” (2003) is a straight-to-video action movie with many flaws. Although the storyline is unoriginal but not bad, the execution is terrible. The skilled security guard Ryan misses most of his shots on the criminals, and the same happens with the Mexican “federales”. On the other hand, the criminals usually are precise in their shots. Weaver is a cliches psychopath, killing without reason. The effects are poor but acceptable for a straight-to-video movie. My vote is four.
