See more Lequisha S 05/30/2022 Continuing my Batman kick, this film focusing on one of his villains is one I wish wasn't made so that I wouldn't have to devote time to it (though it certainly did not have my full attention except for maybe 8 minutes of the entire thing). There are some interesting ideas in here (namely, a parallel between Deathstroke's daughter and that of his enemy + the knights/dragons framing device), but the uninspired art style, extremely straightforward dialogue that spells out every little thing, heavy use of exposition to clean up time skips or new appearances, odd character choices (Deathstroke is the protagonist so he can't truly be a villain, so he's a for-hire assassin with morals! Except he'll cheat on his wife, duck responsibilities with his family, get his son's throat slit by recklessly attacking his captor, etc.). The bar is not particularly high with these animated flicks, but this one just did not make it. Michael Chiklis is cool af tho. See more Read all reviews
