A Geek Community Decibel is an action spectacle made infinitely better by its attention to building characters as large as its explosions. As the pair push the film, Kim Rae-Won and Lee Jong-suk are a fascinating and emotional duel to watch unfold. Jul 15, 2023 Full Review Douglas Davidson Elements of Madness The film itself is enjoyable thanks to the performances and the willingness of the script to go to the hard places of human existence. That’s where it gets compelling and becomes worth exploring, alarms bells pinging at the originality and freshness. Rated: 3/5 Jun 6, 2023 Full Review Ronak Kotecha The Times of India Decibel is a solid human interest story that is more about the sacrifices of the boys in uniform than bombs. Rated: 3.5/5 Mar 11, 2023 Full Review Tatiana Hullender Screen Rant Decibel boasts loud explosions and a stressful race against the clock, but its secret weapon lies in Lee Jongsuk & Cha Eunwoo's emotional scenes. Rated: 3.5/5 Dec 21, 2022 Full Review Carla Hay Culture Mix It has some predictable moments, but the thrilling action and solid acting performances bring this suspenseful 'hunt for a terrorist bomber' movie into an above-average level. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/11/22 Full Review Jisu K Great Story and Great Actors!!!🥰🥰 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/09/22 Full Review Virginia C Saw it when it first came out in theatre, had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I absolutely love the plot, because I felt like I would do the same for my brother if it all went down like this. And the storytelling was refreshing and unexpected. 100% recommend. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/25/23 Full Review Andy B Basically a Korean Die Hard 3 with a few twists and more than a few plot holes. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/18/23 Full Review JJJJJJ J The basic premise of sacrifice and the choose the commandeer has to make is one that is very emotionally impactful and adds a lot to the story. Unfortunately the rest of the film is very weak. There is to much going on with multiple story lines that could have been left out. There were probably a good 4 characters that could have completely been removed from this film and it still been a good movie. The overly complex plot makes the film hard to follow at times but if you ignore some of those and just focus on the main premise the film is quite good. If the film stuck to this narrative it would have been a lot better, and probably shorter. I'd say its worth the watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/11/23 Full Review Read all reviews
