don s This is basically a one-man show; Justin Kreinbrink wrote, directed and "starred" in this misnamed Western. It should have been called The Dupe or The Goat or any other synonym for fall guy. Decoy is not one of those. The story is decent. Maybe if Kreinbrink had some backing and real actors this would have been worthwhile. As is, the acting is so bad you wind up laughing and shaking your head at incidents that are not funny in the least. Skip it. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member This is the Western bad enough to make me start getting rid of some of my collection. Why keep trash? Bad acting, unconvincing characters (especially McDaniel as Herb), and one of those stories I've come to hate where people could easily prevent a problem situation if they would just communicate. Write it down for God's sake! Whoa is me. Boo hoo. I just don't care anymore. Did I mention unconvincing acting? Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I've seen better acting in high school theatre. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Taking into account that this is a low budget starter film then it isn't all bad. The direction is decent but the writing was pretty abyssmal. Full of cliche dialogue one has to endure: "You know the nice thing about it being so quiet out here? There is no one to hear you scream!" Acting was mostly carried off without any type of sincereity and was completely flat while lines we delivered as if the actors had no idea how it fit into the story. Sets were decent and scenery was nice and the sound editing was very sharp. One especially painful piece was the generic and repetitive piano music that played throughout the entire film. Okay for watching if you have low expectaitons and don't mind dodging plot holes. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
