Synopsis
Agnes is a Holocaust survivor who escaped the concentration camps and found refuge at a Delaware beach, where she raises her abandoned twin grandchildren, Tasha and Gallagher. But the atrocities of the war haunt Agnes, who is so scarred by her experiences that she cares for the children out of duty only. Tasha is a smart girl and a poet, and her brother, Gall, is an optimistic, sensitive boy. But lacking warmth at home, they seek it elsewhere, sometimes leading to serious consequences.
