Audience Member Jerry Lewis' first solo movie since his split with Dean Martin is called The Delicate Delinquent which tells the story of a bumbling janitor (Jerry Lewis) who is considered to be a delinquent by society and decides to become a police officer. The film doesn't really have much to offer but it's still a sweet film. Jerry Lewis puts on a delicate performance that blends comedy and drama. In the film, Jerry Lewis' antics may be considered annoying to some but they are quite humorous at times to me. Overall, The Delicate Delinquent was Jerry Lewis' challenging film (at the time) as this is the first time he is performing without his comedy partner (Dean Martin) and it worked serviceably well as the film was funny, warm, sweet, and most importantly delicate. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Jerry Lewis plays a would-be juvenile delinquent who is taken under the wing of kindly neighborhood cop Darren McGavin. It's a pretty familiar juvenile delinquent story, but when you add Jerry to the mix, it's pretty fun if nothing exceptional. Jerry's first solo effort after splitting with Dean Martin. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member With all of the American turmoil recently about police brutality, I thought watching this, Jerry Lewis' first solo venture after his misadventures with Dean Martin, would be an interesting experience. It was both touching, showing an older police officer showing compassion and trying to connect with a troubled but promising adolescent and help him out in life, and funny, giving one of the finest comedians of his time more space to strut his stuff. I'm glad I took the time and effort to check his comedies out. Happy 90th, Jerry Lewis! =) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member oh no i won't say nothing cause i didn't see nothing haha Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member my favorite jerry lewis movie.
