Adam Nayman Cinema Scope On a formal level, the only thing that really distinguishes Der Nachtmahr is the thermonuclear sound design, which blows up every time the characters enter an underground night club. Audience Member aburridora, lo único bueno fue la música. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member VIFF Review: "Der Nachtmahr(The Nightmare)" is not as terrifying as it sounds, yet, it has some creepy scenes, a unique premise, and an incredible style and soundtrack. This is a strobe heavy, bass pumping, loud and colourful flick that lands some of it's ideas while missing other opportunities that could have made this film a great one. It's less a Horror film and more a coming of age teenage drama about the struggle of being accepted amongst your peers, but with a unique twist. It's somewhat strange, it looks incredible, and it's loud, but the party stops there. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
