In this newest installment in the mega-hit "Descendants" franchise, former Villain Kid Uma, now headmaster of Auradon Prep, extends an invite to the school to another VK -- Red, the rebellious daughter of the tyrannical Queen of Hearts from Wonderland. The Queen of Hearts has long held a grudge against Auradon, and especially Cinderella, and seizes the opportunity to seek revenge when she drops her daughter off at school. When the Queen of Hearts incites a coup against Auradon, Red must team up with Cinderella's perfectionist daughter Chloe and travel back in time to try to undo the traumatic event that set Red’s mother down her villainous path.

This movie is a disappointment. There were so many missed opportunities, for example, the movie could have been about Celia and Dizzy. Since these are characters we already know, it doesn’t seem like they have forgotten all about the OG’s. Also, this movie had no plot. Red comes in already wanting to be good, but since her mom is bad it creates conflict? Decendents is also known for its beautiful dresses at the end of its movies. Why not have a scene at the end where we get to see the dance? Another thing that could have happened is a short TV show with Jay and Gill going on adventures in a gap year! I also think that Red and Chloe had no character development. How can Red stand out? What makes her different? I really dislike this movie and I hope the can do way better with Decendents in the future.

Not as bad as I was imagining it would be. Has its fun moments along with a fine catchy soundtrack. The story felt dull, predictable, and basic. Decent acting, costume design, choreography, and special effects. Overall, it's a fun film for the family but can be let down for some.

Was excited to watch with my girls… only for us to be kind of disappointed with the very wishywashy story. We weren’t sure what to think. To much singing and dancing sadly for a musical and the dancing choreography had me at lose for words…. Definitely showing my age or their dance moves were terrible but my kids also were like huh!? Guess OG Descendant is ment to be it.
