On the trail of the man who murdered his sister, gunslinger Billy Donovan (Johnny Mack Brown) stumbles into a mystery on a Texas ranch. Run by the beautiful Jean Halloran (Sheila Manors) since her stepfather Tom Jackson (Karl Hackett) became paralyzed, the ranch sits atop an abandoned mine, and six ranch hands have recently been killed by a mysterious desert phantom. When murderous outlaw Salizar (Ted Adams) abducts Jean, Billy must uncover the mystery of the phantom before it's too late.
