      Reviews Aging actress Helen Walbridge (Verree Teasdale) has managed to keep her daughter a secret, concealed at a boarding school her whole life. When the daughter, Lois (Jean Muir), now an adult, shows up at Helen's apartment, she meets Stuart "Mac" McAllister (George Brent), Helen's companion.
