Audience Member Good movie here recommended James Welch, Henderson, Arkansas, September 5, 2023 Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Josiah Galt (Jack Palance), a former preacher, and his sons form a band of raiders during the Civil War, raiding towns and confiscating valuables for the Confederate army. Eldest brother David Galt (Vince Edwards) grows disgusted by the extremity of their methods and flees. He takes up with a woman and takes up residence in Texas under an assumed name to raise a family. When the war ends. his family takes up straight banditry, and soon they show up in Texas and rob the bank near David's farm. David and the town marshal (Neville Brand) team up to take out the Galts. A very cheap and shoddy looking western that benefits somewhat from Palance's over-the-top histrionics and an amiable performance from Brand. Edwards, however, is a charisma sinkhole and he drags the film down. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Fragmented and stiff western caught somewhere between the classic style for this genre and a desire to make a more violent shocking feature. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Lacklustre and unconvincing western and some strange casting makes this an overall disappointing film. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member It could've been a whole lot better. Oh well. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Read all reviews
