So tasteful it's torturous, Despite the Falling Snow is a Cold War espionage thriller for those who like their period-piece action airless and derivative. Go to Full Review

With the action jumping backwards and forwards in time, the plot is not always easy to follow, and a gratuitous lesbian romance does little to disguise the fact that the underlying story has run badly out of steam long before the end. Go to Full Review

CALEB H 01/14/2024 Very good movie. Highly recommend this wonderfully put together journey. Acting was top notch cinematography was amazing and the characters you can fall in love with. A good movie is supposed to make you feel something in this thriller does just that. I don't listen to the so-called experts, those critics call good bad and bad good. See more John M 11/10/2023 Love the Cold War drama and Rebecca Ferguson! See more 03/25/2022 A good time piece on communist Russia and how people just disappeared. Fergusson plays dual roles, all done well. IMB rated this much higher and I agree with their opinion. See more 04/18/2020 ....I guess because I spent 3 years in West Berlin in the early 1960's , this film may have interested me more than the average film fan...It reminded me (a little) of the "doomed romance " angle of Dr. Zhivago , plus the utter depression of working in the counterintelligence Cold War era of "The Spy Who Came In From The Cold" ... Though not as good as the 2 earlier films, I thought it did manage to convey the hopelessness of trying to survive in ANY kind of a "police-state" society....For a current example , I might point to a certain Highly-placed "leader"who recently claimed he had "total power" to run his government any way he wanted to run it..Does that ring any bells?....
