Fergusson plays dual roles, all done well. IMB rated this much higher and I agree with their opinion. See more 04/18/2020 ....I guess because I spent 3 years in West Berlin in the early 1960's , this film may have interested me more than the average film fan...It reminded me (a little) of the "doomed romance " angle of Dr. Zhivago , plus the utter depression of working in the counterintelligence Cold War era of "The Spy Who Came In From The Cold" ... Though not as good as the 2 earlier films, I thought it did manage to convey the hopelessness of trying to survive in ANY kind of a "police-state" society....For a current example , I might point to a certain Highly-placed "leader"who recently claimed he had "total power" to run his government any way he wanted to run it..Does that ring any bells?....
