Jennie Kermode Eye for Film It’s what one might expect if somebody poured the early 1970s into a blender and then threw the resulting mixture at a screen. Rated: 1.5/5 Jul 22, 2024 Full Review Jason Shawhan Nashville Scene This is a mean film for a mean world, happy to introduce Chekhov's tank of piranha knowing that anticipation is a perfectly fine engine. Sep 10, 2021 Full Review Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com It's not especially well-constructed, but "Devil Times Five" isn't hard to digest, which is something of a cinematic miracle when considering the production era and the unsavory details of the story. Rated: B- Sep 6, 2021 Full Review Scott Weinberg DVDTalk.com I mean, when's the last time you saw a horror victim get dispatched by way of piranha in the bathtub? CT If Until Dawn had The Little Rascals as killers, you'd get Devil Times Five. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/09/21 Full Review Michael L Quite the possibly the best Los Angeles Strange movie of the 1970s. An efficient group of murderous children terrorize an assortment of nouveau riche partygoers near Big Bear Lake. Not to be missed is Leif Garrett flirting with Sorrell Brooke, then preening in heavy makeup and a Cleopatra wig. This film has continuity issues aplenty, to the point where one begins to wonder if they are intentional. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/16/24 Full Review Audience Member Devil Times Five is bad thriller movie about 5 creepy kids killing rich folks and that's it for no reason and writing is so silly and dumb. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/23/22 Full Review Audience Member 1974: Five psychotic children escape a bus crash and take refuge to a house up in the snow-filled hills. The occupants of the house all seem to have some issues of their own. The kids put all the stops to make sure they can leave, while they systematically murder each adult, one by one. Tt times this movie feels amateurish, but at other times this feels like an unusual, inspired slasher pic. The acting is all over the map. Worth a look. Stars: Gene Evans, Sorrell Booke, Shelley Morrison, Taylor Lacher, and Leif Garrett. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member The date below is wrong. This came out in 1974. No rhyme or reason as to why everyone is the way they are or why pr how the kids became fun little killing machines. Apparently, they planned on a series as the ending just says "The Beginning." Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a movie that needs a remake! Creepy atmosphere with kids silently killing the grown ups one by one. I thought it was very chilling and can ignore some of the dated material but what you get a a load of horror fun!! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Read all reviews
