We love Greg’s egotism and love it even more when he realizes he’s been kind of a jerk to people who care about him. As long as the animated movies continue to understand that, they can keep going for as long as the novels have.

The animation really reminds of the actual books and the change to the actual book adds real sentiment and it just makes you realise what christmas really is about.

I am a huge fan of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books, and I love most of the Wimpy Kid movies. To be honest, this movie was a bit of a disappointment. I did not like that the ending of this movie is different than the book, and if someone asked me if I preferred the Cabin Fever book or the Cabin Fever movie, I would say the Cabin Fever book. What I don't like is that they changed the ending to give it a cornier Christmas message than was in the book. For some reason, I don't like corny Christmas messages, because it is not how reality works.
