Dec 23 Disappointed it was all old forts he I’ve seen before. Would have liked to have seen some current pictures of him & his wife See more Dec 16 Loved hearing all about Dick Van Dyke and his life and times in show biz See more Dec 16 It was the story of an entertainer who I spent much time with throughout my youth. It took me back. It was nice to hear his whole story and see him still dancing at 100 years old. See more Dec 16 We loved this! What a wonderful person! Devastated that SO FEW people attended!!!! This was definitely NOT publicized enough!!!! See more Dec 15 Repetitive, and -- unlike the PBS special on Van Dyke -- no interviews with Julie Andrews, other comedians or big-name celebrities. It was interesting, but should have been much, much better. See more Dec 15 it was, in a word, very boring. They had people talking about Dick Van Dyke that really had nothing to do with him as far as I could tell. I know Chita Rivera did Bye Bye Birdie with him but half a dozen interviews with her was a bit much. I don't know what Derek Hough had to do with him but half a dozen interviews with him was too much. There were people talking about him I had no idea who they were or what connection they had with him. also one scene of him at his high school would have been fine but they showed at least a half dozen times. I expected more iconic moments from the show and behind the scenes of the show. An interview with Larry Matthews would have been great but they only had him say Happy Birthday at the beginning and that was it. Some input from his real life son Barry Van Dyke would have been nice. VERY boring and dull. See more Read all reviews
