When he was a child, Dickie Roberts (David Spade) was one of the stars of a popular TV show. But now Dickie is grown up, and, instead of living a life of luxury, he works as a valet attendant and hangs out with other former child stars. Desperate to make a comeback, Dickie hires an ordinary family to live with so he can experience the childhood he never had. This is Spade's third attempt at leading-man status, and I will admit it is his best lead role to date. But when your other two films were Joe Dirt and Lost and Found, it's not like the bar was raised very high.

It's been a few years and not a day goes by that I don't think about what an absolutely horrible movie this was in every conceivable way. There are bad fun movies to watch and I've watched a few. This movie will have you questioning how could a movie of this caliber exist beyond Jack and Jill? They don't make movies like this anymore and you'll be happy they don't. If my parents are ever disappointed in me, I'll show them this movie and they'll probably be glad I will never achieve such high levels of disappointment this movie brings to the table. I'm so angry still. I might just hate watch it to ruin another one of my family or friends day.
