Ed Power Daily Telegraph (UK) The accusations against Combs are serious and deserve a more thoughtful analysis than what’s on offer... Rated: 1/5 Jan 30, 2025 Full Review Carla Hay Culture Mix Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy can be recommended to watch only for some of the revealing interviews and previously unreleased footage. However, the tabloid-ish format lowers the quality of this documentary, which needed more cohesive timeline editing. Jan 17, 2025 Full Review Stephen Silver The SS Ben Hecht This unwieldy new Peacock documentary lays out much of the case against the disgraced impresario- and throws in a bunch of other nonsense as well. Will D It was okay. It started off good with the recap of childhood with Tim Patterson, but turned into the same sensational crap that’s produced by people magazine. Not real and bs. Better docs on YouTube. But so far better than the garbage on max. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/25 Full Review Audience Member Not one to become indulged with solicitous celeb tabloid legal drama-it's not my thing. Still, I must admit, the surprising details of Diddy's early upbringing from his childhood friends were interesting. The persistent bullying he endured as a young male and the ambition for "the need to feel powerful" that fueled his ego was eye-opening. Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy, explains Diddy's unapologetic persona but the speedy documentary lacks a deeper dive into his meteoric rise, sex party allegations, and bromance with the late great Biggie. However, understandable due to the ongoing investigation currently pending. Overall, it's a sad & disturbing downfall for a man who had it all. It's a subtly ok documentary about the troubled hip-hop mogul but if you're looking for substance, you'll find more in one of Diddy's brand ads or nostalgic 90s music videos. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/25 Full Review Amanda D Hardly any new information than what you can find from a fast Google search. With all of this in court still, too soon for anyone to really “talk” about what went on. This director has good ideas, but terrible execution. Another disappointment like the Nickelodeon documentary…. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/15/25 Full Review Read all reviews
