David Fear Blender Director Katherine Dieckmann keeps everything moving smoothly, and the appeal of Rudd in wisecracking mode can’t be underestimated. But if you’ve ever sat through an Ed Burns film, there’s nothing here you haven’t seen before. Sep 8, 2023 Full Review Carrie Rickey Philadelphia Inquirer Fresh as today's catch and about as tasty. Rated: 3/4 Aug 4, 2007 Full Review Richard Roeper Ebert & Roeper I can't recommend this movie enough. Apr 30, 2007 Full Review Michael Clark Epoch Times “Diggers” won’t appeal to everyone. It came and went at the box office, yet has a dedicated cult following that grows in number with each passing year. It goes far in pointing out you only know what great friends you have when things are at their worst. Rated: 3.5/5 Feb 9, 2024 Full Review Heather Huntington ReelzChannel.com Diggers is all shell and no neck and belly. Rated: 3/10 Aug 23, 2008 Full Review Brian Holcomb CinemaBlend A very detailed portrait of a time and place that is about to change forever. This is a Long Island of 1976 in someone's memory, like a faded Polaroid in an old shoebox. Rated: 4.5/5 May 5, 2008 Full Review Read all reviews

Roy V For those of us who grew up in the '70s, in simpler times, amongst the working class, this is beyond nostalgic. However, our speech was so much easier, slower, as our thoughts were so much more pensive. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/30/23 Full Review Dean E food please. do i look like your mother? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie was really great, very well acted. Paul Rudd, Ron Eldard, Josh Hamilton & especially Ken Marino, really shined in this film... so not used to Marino doing any other roles other than comedic... it was remarkably refreshing. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Much more a drama then a comedy even though it has Rudd and Marino as the leads and was written by Marino. It has a nice honest and simplicity to the story and the acting(although weak) also is honest and real but overall it is mediocre. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Decent little film, I guess I recommend it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Some interesting relationships, but a threadbare plot could not save this film. I still adore Paul Rudd.
