The Internet becomes a battlefield for the DigiDestined and their Digimon companions, as they embark on their greatest adventure yet. A powerful new Digimon hatches and begins to consume data at an exponential rate. This Internet Digimon rapidly digivolves to its mega form, Diabormon, taking over worldwide communications in the process. This brings me back. Haven’t seen this in so long! After seeing the OG versions, you can totally see how much they cut it up. Still, I think the fact that the editors and writers were able to make a cohesive story of 2 movies that aren’t related is a feat in itself. Throw in the nostalgic music and this all equates to a movie that scratches that itch in my soul.

A nostalgic adventure of the DigiDestined taking on a virus replicating itself on the internet. This is one of the best additions to the Digimon franchise.

I wanted to take a walk down "nostalgia lane" and look up where I could watch this and came across the rating. Obviously the audience rating is higher. But made an account so I could comment here. Who pays these critics? They know jack about movies man. This movie was absolutely amazing. It was us kids' Endgame in the early 2000s. As someone who loved them all but staned Tie and Augumon, I'll never forget the first time I saw Omnimon. And getting to see the others come into play from the other seasons was just such a mind blower as a child. Critics are worthless man

Digimon: The Movie was thunderous is for kids of the 2000s, including myself, however, as an adult, it’s clear that this movie was nothing more than a marketing ploy for its targeted audience. It was a cheap attempt to combine storylines from two different Digimon generations. While the new animation style was a positive change, the movie felt like an extended episode of a TV show with typical corny storytelling that lacked creativity as producers figure that the movie would still bank them fat cheques, regardless of its quality. Grading: C
