Emmy Award winner Jeff Nimoy is an established voice-over actor working in anime. As a writer and director, he is best known for his work in the early 2000s animated series "Digimon: Digital Monsters." Starting out his career as a writer on "NFL Films Presents"--which earned him his first Emmy--Nimoy then moved onto features, penning and appearing in the 2000 Showtime family comedy "Big Brother Trouble." By early 2000, he segued into animation, working as a writer, director, and story editor on the English translation of the popular Japanese anime "Digimon." The show revolved around digital monsters living in parallel universe. The series took the United States by storm during its four-year run, spawning two feature films. It was eventually revived for Disney as "Digimon Data Squad" from 2006 through 2008; Nimoy served as a writer, director, and actor on this series as well. He also wrote, directed, and performed on a number of animated series, including the Kids WB animated show "Mega Man" and the ninja series "Naruto" for Cartoon Network. After "Digimon Data Squad" ended, Nimoy carried on working with Disney, primarily on "Stitch!," a spin-off of the "Lilo & Stitch" film, and directing the English version of the short-form 3-D series "Robodz." And yes, he is related to the other famous Nimoy; Leonard Nimoy is his second cousin, once removed.
