Audience Member Great documentary. Essential for filmmakers. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member I like John Ford but have only seen a couple of his movies. Personally in terms of westerns I liked Leone more but John Ford is the epitome of American westerns and classic American movies of the 30's-50's. I bought this for a dollar on DVD at the library and it was fulfilling. It is cool to hear various figures talk about working with Ford and his process. The version I saw was reconstructed by Bogdanovich so it featured the interviews with Stewart, Fonda, and the Duke as well as ones filmed in 2006 with Martin Scorsese, Clint Eastwood and Spielberg. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Excellent doc on the great John Ford. It has some pretty awesome interviews from Spielberg to Mr. Ford himself. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member I LOVED THIS DOCUMENTARY!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Interviews with Henry Fonda, John Wayne, and James Stewart - plus lots of good footage from Ford pictures - and Orson Welles as narrator... wwoooaaahhh Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member If you're a film geek, like me, this is essential viewing. I love anything that Peter Bogdanovich does with classic film and this is no different. Featuring interviews with everyone from Henry Fonda and Maureen O'Hara, to Walter Hill and Steven Spielberg. So good! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
