In 1997, 19-year-old Kyle Miller dreams of launching a party backdrop business with his best friend, Eric Hernandez. While Kyle is eager, Eric is reluctant, burdened by his parents' expectations. They skip college, opting to spend a year working on their business plan during routine visits to the local laundromat. One night, a mysterious stranger interrupts their laundry night with words of wisdom and a magic trick. Suddenly, the friends discover they are incapable of lying. As they work together to break the spell, they discover how much is at stake when the truth comes out.

This was amazing indie cinema. The writing and cinematography were so plain and simple, yet emotional and engaging. The story made me shed a tear showing the emotional exploration of the main characters' friendship.

I really enjoyed this heartwarming, sweet, nostalgic, surprisingly funny and ultimately moving film about the dreams and friendship between two young men. It also nicely captures the zeitgeist of the 90s, when I was younger, single and searching for connection -- It sure felt relatable. I loved the touch of magic realism — did not expect that in a story set in Indianapolis! — and the young actors were charismatic and had really good chemistry. An excellent fiction film debut by veteran documentary filmmaker Rocky Walls.

this movie has in interesting plot, but with no context it is a extremely difficult watch, 90% of the movie occurs in a laundromat and half thew screening is silence between lines. The acting isn't terrible but this story wasn't for me, did not make sense and was not worth the renting price... dont understand how this movie has almost perfect reviews.

Incredible performances by Charlie and Mitchell for their first big film. Off the bat, you can sense the chemistry and friendship they have with each other and that adds all the extra spice you need. A whirlwind of emotions, to say the least, truly a roller coaster ride. Highly recommended!
