What to Know

Critics Consensus

A humanistic variation on one of Steven Spielberg's most revisited themes, Disclosure Day's breathless pursuit of optimism in an age of conspiracy gets its biggest boost from career-highlight work by Emily Blunt.

Disclosure Day is classic Spielberg popcorn – it has heft, sure, but it is mostly about being along for an entertaining ride. Go to Full Review

Carter M 3h Pulse pounding and deeply moving, from the moment it starts until the last word. A true piece of art by Mr Spielberg See more Marc 1d The DP and Emily Blunt performances are incredible. Direction and writing? I was utterly confused for 120 minutes, but enjoyed the ride. See more Honest Reviews 1d Pretty fun with some ridiculous scenes that have nothing to do with aliens. Overall acting was solid. Pace was good, but somehow it felt like it was incomplete and missing some of the Spielberg charm if say ET and the high drama and wonder of Close Encounters. Good and worth seeing in a theater movie, but missing grandiose s ale visuals means you can enjoy on a 55” tv at home nearly as well. See more David F 1d Full disclosure…no closure. See more Jane S 1d Overall very entertaining as you would expect from Spielberg. Using psychic empathy as a defense or weapon was a nice twist. At times the chase of the two main gifted characters dragged on a bit. I also thought the very last line was a little too simplistic given the magnitude of the disclosure. See more Brianna 1d The CJI for the animals specifically the fox was a little too noticeable. I hate the cliffhanger too but only if there isn’t going to be a second movie. See more Read all reviews
