The DP and Emily Blunt performances are incredible. Direction and writing? I was utterly confused for 120 minutes, but enjoyed the ride.

Pretty fun with some ridiculous scenes that have nothing to do with aliens. Overall acting was solid. Pace was good, but somehow it felt like it was incomplete and missing some of the Spielberg charm if say ET and the high drama and wonder of Close Encounters. Good and worth seeing in a theater movie, but missing grandiose s ale visuals means you can enjoy on a 55” tv at home nearly as well.

Overall very entertaining as you would expect from Spielberg. Using psychic empathy as a defense or weapon was a nice twist. At times the chase of the two main gifted characters dragged on a bit. I also thought the very last line was a little too simplistic given the magnitude of the disclosure.

The CJI for the animals specifically the fox was a little too noticeable. I hate the cliffhanger too but only if there isn’t going to be a second movie.
