Manuel Betancourt Variety If its ambitions never quite meet its execution, “Disfluency” is (clunky title aside) an amiable watch with its heart (and head) in the right place that still manages to charm, perhaps because it so exalts the very concept of imperfection. Jan 26, 2025 Full Review Clint Worthington RogerEbert.com It’s a testament to “Disfluency”‘s ultimate affect, and the lead performances, that it can successfully overcome the preachiness of Baumgarten’s script. Rated: 2.5/4 Jan 10, 2025 Full Review Emily DuGranrut In Review Online ...one can’t help but wonder what the — potentially impressive — effect might have been without the relentless spoon-feeding. Feb 4, 2025 Full Review Abbie Bernstein Assignment X A sensitive look at trauma and recovery. Feb 3, 2025 Full Review Don Shanahan Film Obsessive Through its sobering effort to present an always-successful-until-now young woman carrying unhealed pain, Disfluency sheds light on an ominous emotional burden far too many people have experienced and far too many people have sought to carry silently. Rated: 4/5 Jan 20, 2025 Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com …the messaging about trauma is secondary to a moving, thoughtful and sensitive film about recovery… Rated: 4/5 Jan 17, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Tamarah A This very powerful movie speaks to several pertinent themes in the lives of today's young adults. Overlaying those with the concept of how language plays a part in communication beyond just actual words was eye-opening. This is a must see for anyone in education, psychology, social services or those who just love being a student of life. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/23/25 Full Review Joseph F That dock scene! I cried. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/25 Full Review C T Loved the movie. Great acting, important storyline. Movie had a serious storyline, but still managed to be fun. Loved the relationship between the Father and the Daughter. Also loved the storyline with the daughter and the college aged Mom with the little boy.
