What to Know

Critics Consensus

Snow White is hardly a grumpy time at the movies thanks to Rachel Zegler's luminous star turn, but its bashful treatment of the source material along with some dopey stylistic choices won't make everyone happy, either.

Audience Says

Disney’s Snow White may not be the fairest incarnation of them all, but its benign song and spirit may make you hum along all the same.

Keith Phipps The Reveal [A] serviceable-enough reimagining of the classic film. Webb moves the action along. Rated: 2/5 May 2, 2025 Full Review Katie Walsh Tribune News Service the jumble of tones and styles laid atop this basic narrative feels like it’s trying to please everyone and ends up pleasing no one. Rated: 2/4 Mar 29, 2025 Full Review Tim Cogshell FilmWeek (LAist) In terms of just a movie -- that I saw with a bunch of children -- the kids love the movie, and the adults just might want to step back. Mar 28, 2025 Full Review Matthew Koss The Wandering Screen (YouTube) And then there’s Gal Gadot, who tests her musical chops with her evil queen track, “All is Fair.” It’s a perfect storm of costuming, makeup, music, and production design that pulls you into her deliciously venomous world. Rated: B Aug 17, 2025 Full Review Matthew Huff Parade Magazine Snow White isn’t necessarily a bad movie, but it is certainly a boring, purposeless one. Was there any reason for Disney to make this aside from money? No, and that’s painfully clear from start to finish. Rated: C- Aug 10, 2025 Full Review Clotilde Chinnici The People's Movies While there might be a bigger discussion to be had about live actions when it comes to Disney, this movie does it right by updating the story for a modern audience while also remaining true to its original aesthetic and message. A If you’re going to do a live action movie, at least be true to the story. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/28/25 Full Review Keenan My favorite Princess movie ever, Rachel slayed but Gal stole the show Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/24/25 Full Review Blackerr I really really loved the music. Disney has come so far with their animation and CGI- and while I would have loved to have real-life dwarves I thought the animated characters were an amazing feat for what theyve been able to accomplish on screen. The characters we grew up with on screen and in books came to life and were exactly how we remembered them. It did feel like the entire movie was on a set, which gave it a different feel then the other recreations to real-life actors, it that might very well be what Disney aspired to do. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/15/25 Full Review Jaylen Rachel zegler is wonderful, the story is corny, but entertaining. I enjoyed the prince. Gal gadot is horrible, but it gets to a point where she’s so bad that she’s entertaining. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/01/25 Full Review Cynthia No comment - star rating should be enough. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/30/25 Full Review Peyton I have no idea why the internet hated this movie. this movie is fantastic Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/17/25 Full Review Read all reviews
