What to Know

Critics Consensus

Snow White is hardly a grumpy time at the movies thanks to Rachel Zegler's luminous star turn, but its bashful treatment of the source material along with some dopey stylistic choices won't make everyone happy, either.

Audience Says

Disney’s Snow White may not be the fairest incarnation of them all, but its benign song and spirit may make you hum along all the same.

Keith Phipps The Reveal (Substack) [A] serviceable-enough reimagining of the classic film. Webb moves the action along. Rated: 2/5 May 2, 2025 Full Review Katie Walsh Tribune News Service the jumble of tones and styles laid atop this basic narrative feels like it’s trying to please everyone and ends up pleasing no one. Rated: 2/4 Mar 29, 2025 Full Review Tim Cogshell FilmWeek (LAist) In terms of just a movie -- that I saw with a bunch of children -- the kids love the movie, and the adults just might want to step back. Mar 28, 2025 Full Review Adam Schoales That Shelf Snow White is at its best when it’s attempting to put a new spin on the fairy tale, and at its worst when it’s attempting to pay homage and tribute to 1937’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Apr 26, 2025 Full Review Lauren Veneziani WBAL-TV (Baltimore) Rachel Zegler's voice is one of the best of any artist right now and her portrayal as Snow White is captivating, and as much as Gal Gadot physically looked the part of the Evil Queen, her performance was too messy and took me out of the film. Rated: 3.5/5 Apr 21, 2025 Full Review Sean Chandler Sean Chandler Talks About Snow White has a few nice touches, but the film feels misguided, miscalibrated, and obviously reworked in post. Torn between staying faithful to the original or reimagining it, it leaves us with the worst of both worlds. Rated: C Apr 19, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Linda K Absolutely wonderful movie with singing, dancing, story and acting. The seven dwarfs were exceptionally heartwarming. I liked the story variation from the original Snow White. What a happen ending where the people choose kindness over evil. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/14/25 Full Review Robert H Better than expected. Dwarves were the best part. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/14/25 Full Review maria Good enough for a kids movie. Subpar. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/14/25 Full Review BB Beautiful singing & awesome acting! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/13/25 Full Review Patricia The story was different but it was visually pleasing. It would have been a great time to employ actual little people who would have appreciated the work since it is a live action movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/13/25 Full Review Michelle S So fun and great music! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/13/25 Full Review Read all reviews
