Dalia R I just got out of a screening of "Disorder" at Cinema Akil here in Dubai, and as a Lebanese expat, I have to say, it really struck a nerve. The film is made up of four short stories that dig deep into the chaos and instability back home in Lebanon. The way these four directors capture the feeling of disillusionment is spot on. Watching it, I couldn’t help thinking about why so many of us feel disconnected and frustrated with what Lebanon has become. The cinematography is gritty and beautiful, the acting raw, and each story brings out a different emotional layer that really sticks with you. I was genuinely impressed by how the film balanced all that heavy emotional baggage with a twisted sense of humor that’s just so distinctly Lebanese. At the same time, it was so universal that my Spanish friend who came along with me was literally laughing out loud right next to me. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/14/24 Full Review Read all reviews
