Audience Member Solid Sci-Fi fil. Some excellent visual and the director creates a real sense of hopelessness for the protagonist in the first act. Things do flip quickly into a time travel core which is well executed and brings in a nice dark spin which is innovative and original. Overall a solid movie with neigh to keep it interesting to the end. Enjoy! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A bleak outlook on a not too distant future which is captured to perfection in this low budget apocalyptic mind turn. You'll find new rules on time travel and a bleak contrast between now and the future past. Summed up with emotion and feeling instead of long drawn out dialogue. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member An interesting enough premise but hampered by one glaring plot-hole which is often the case with low-budget sci-fi. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a great movie given its modest budget. The story and central performance consistently compel you to keep watching. The direction and production design are a little no-budget, but do a lot with a little. If you like time-travel movies, many far more expensive forays into the genre are much worse. Anton Bitel Sight & Sound a post- (and pre-) apocalyptic drama set around a plague-devastated New York Apr 21, 2017 Full Review Sumner Forbes Film Threat Diverge is fun, engaging, and a refreshing reminder that sci-fi films don’t need a substantial budget to look polished or to peak one’s interest. Rated: 7/10 Feb 22, 2023 Full Review Leigh Monson Birth.Movies.Death. The resulting film feels almost entirely divorced from notions of entertainment or thematic exploration, instead relying on final moments of emotional investment that the film never expends the effort to develop or earn. Mar 1, 2019 Full Review Anton Bitel SciFiNow James Morrison's debut begins with a viral doomsday scenario, then introduces a time-travel plot whose complexity gradually ramifies. Feb 5, 2018 Full Review Christopher Llewellyn Reed Hammer to Nail At 85 minutes, Diverge never overstays its welcome, and proves, time and again (remember: time travel), that low-budget science fiction can more than deliver. Feb 3, 2018 Full Review John Higgins Starburst Sandomire is very good in the lead role and holds the film together. Rated: 7/10 Feb 2, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews
