      Critics Consensus

Dog Days is frivolous but frothy, sporting a forgettable cast of human characters but a lovable troupe of pooches that ought to delight viewers looking for a gentle affirmation of humanity's bond with their furry friends.

Jay M Loved it! Watched it twice!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Worst thing I’ve ever seen Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/11/23 Full Review Audience Member This really does have more of a straight-to-television vibe than anything but it's harmless material Director Ken Marino assembles a giant cast featuing Nina Dobrev, Vanessa Hudgens, Eva Langoria, Rob Cordry to name a few Another giant collection of stories focusing on several people and the dogs that come into their lives One has a barista find a lost dog in the street with a guy crushing on her, another has a newscaster breaking up with her boyfriend while working with a co-anchor, another is about a couple adopting a small girl trying to get her open up, another is about a guy watching his sister's pet while she's giving birth, and the last one focuses on an elderly man looking for his dog with the help of a teenage boy This is definitely worth the wait but keep in mind, this is strictly for dog lovers My favorite portions revolve around Vanessa Hudgens and Nina Dobrev, some of these other storylines really could've been cut out since they're not that interesting One joke in here I was laughing so hard it was the funniest scene in the entire movie I won’t lie there was one part in the middle I was tearing up Dogs have us open their hearts to us and to be loved, they feel as much as us whether happy or sad, every canine deserves love and affection, animals are a direct reflection of their owners, life is hard but adding a dog can bring lots of zest as well as change The pooches are the real selling point here no doubt so all dog enthusiasts will adore this Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Very cute romantic comedy that centers around humans and dogs. Feel good movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Funny, heartwarming, emotional... full of surprise characters Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/13/21 Full Review Audience Member Screw the critics. I missed this in the theaters and I bet it was not promoted well. I love this movie. Sure, it's maybe a little cheesy and too cute but that's part of what makes it good. It's a lighthearted and fun movie. But it's also so unerrated in regards the cast and the humor. I LOVED the cast and I thought the humor was great and I could tell much of it came from letting the actors improv. Of course it will carry more weight with dog lovers but even if you aren't a dog lover there is much to enjoy in this film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Rated: 1.5/5 Mar 4, 2021 Full Review Jeff York Creative Screenwriting "Dog Days" could have been hopeless treacle, like so many of those other "Love, Actually" imitators.
