Falls back mainly on army squad clichés and rote conflicts, along the way delivering a group of protagonists woefully short on personality. Go to Full Review

Regardless of the special effects, the plot, characters, and dialogue in the movie are what make it worth watching in my opinion. The relationships seem real, the dialogue is fun, and the actors really pull off great performances. Go to Full Review

A strong cast and plenty of zippy dialogue help speed along Dog Soldiers' claustrophobic stand-off between a circling pack of beastly predators and a group of British soldiers who'd rather be watching soccer. Go to Full Review

This one film certainly raised the bar for future werewolf horrors, although none come close to matching its unique bite force. Go to Full Review

See more Stuart G Nov 15 Having watched a couple of low budget British films in recent times, I was a bit wary of Dog soldiers, but it had decent ratings, so gave it a go. Was pleasantly surprised by the production and script. The characters were all believable and didn’t suffer from any truly cringey lines. Overall good acting and decent acting/fight scenes. The werewolves weren’t blessed with the greatest special effects- a little bit likes 70’s or early 80’s horror standard, but that didn’t detract from their menacing scenes. Good film that I recommend. See more Paul O Oct 29 One of my favourite British films. Doesn't take itself to seriously and certainly isn't looking to be deep and meaningful, it's good old fashioned blood and guts with a bit of humour thrown in for good measure. But the look of the werewolves is great. Overall not a bad film. See more Richard W @rdwoolf Sep 12 What’s scarier than a werewolf in London? Scottish werewolves! This really is a fun and modern take on the werewolf genre. The story keeps us on the edge of our seats. The acting is good for a genre film I highly recommend Dog Soldiers. Especially if you can watch the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release by either Second Sight in the U.K. or Shout! Factory in the U.S. See more Read all reviews
