Brad Newsome Sydney Morning Herald The reef provides a colourful cast of supporting characters, and there's a heart-pounding sequence as a humpback whale fights to protect her calf from a pod of hungry orcas. The photography is magnificent throughout. May 6, 2020 Full Review Steve Pond TheWrap A satisfying entry in the Disneynature slate, albeit one where the dolphins in the title are upstaged by some of their supporting cast, and the reef itself is even more spectacular than the creatures who get the most screen time. Apr 13, 2020 Full Review Christy Lemire FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) This an excellent way to spend time at home with your family... It is transporting. You will feel like you've gone to a different planet. Apr 4, 2020 Full Review Richard Crouse Richard Crouse Dolphin Reef is not as action packed as Flipper - Echo does not help solve crimes or do a "tail walk" - but beautiful cinematography and engaging storytelling make its message of interconnected community - whether marine or human - resonate. Rated: 3.5/5 Jan 30, 2021 Full Review Carla Hay Culture Mix The movie isn't just about dolphins. Humpback whales get almost as much as screen time in the movie as the dolphins ... but it can be enjoyed by people looking for a family-friendly film that gives some eye-popping views of ocean life. Jul 16, 2020 Full Review Linda Cook Quad City Times (Davenport, IA) Disneynature's 'Dolphin Reef' and 'Elephant' are fantastic. Rated: 4/4 May 11, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Brian D 83%. Thought the narrators voice was kind of lame but didn’t realize it was Natalie Portman. Liked how it was centered around the reef which is like the home and community of so many fish and pretty colors. Shows the balance of life in the ocean. Then focused on Echo the 3 year old dolphins development. The orcas going after the humpback calf was awesome. 4.5/5 rewatch Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/16/24 Full Review Audience Member Too much drama for kids Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/06/22 Full Review Audience Member A leisure aquatic return going under the sea since "Oceans", closer to the coral reefs to explore habitual roles of environmental preservation among the residential creatures makes a mesmerizing, boldly determined cinematography that captures both the wonders and living appeals, backed up by Natalie Portman's hearteningly engaging narration driven on improved factually arranged observations. (B+) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member A family favorite. We've been discovering all of the Disney Nature content these last few weeks with Disney+ - The way the filmmaker captured how dolphins work together in feeding grounds to feed the entire family is fascinating. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member They had a few good shots of the dolphins out in the water. I especially liked seeing them on the beach, like in shallow water, so nostalgic. A lot of it wasn't all about dolphins. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Great movie some of Disneynature's best. Natalie Portman does a great job. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews
