New Jersey bartender Jon Martello knows what's important: his friends, his family, his car, his church, his sexual conquests -- and porn. Interesting characters by some well known actors early in their careers, that dry humor that I adore and a thoughtful story of growth from an unexpected direction, Don Jon is a pleasure to watch. Yes, it’s clunky and rough, but it’s also refreshing, unpretentious and poignant in its own humble way. Don’t like the characters? You’re not necessarily supposed to, dumbass. I actually loved the film and think it’s underrated.

A great movie that, honest to God, is one of the more relevant movies for men in this century. It’s frustrating it’s been forgotten. Sometimes it’s a bit too jersey shore, but as Julianne Moore’s warmth slowly kicks in Gordon-Leavitt’s male demons and Johannson’s role highlight (mostly for men) some of the most relatable socia struggles today.

Joseph Gooning Leavitt in a comedy/romance version of Steve McQueens Shame basically. A nice older woman making a man out of Jon was nice to see but his character development was very minimal. JGL is always great to watch, Scarlett is pure eye candy in this and the film flows nicely despite it not being a film that didnt resonate with me much
