New Jersey bartender Jon Martello (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) knows what's important: his friends, his family, his car, his church, his sexual conquests -- and porn. THE NASHVILLE I

A great movie that, honest to God, is one of the more relevant movies for men in this century. It’s frustrating it’s been forgotten. Sometimes it’s a bit too jersey shore, but as Julianne Moore’s warmth slowly kicks in Gordon-Leavitt’s male demons and Johannson’s role highlight (mostly for men) some of the most relatable socia struggles today.

Joseph Gooning Leavitt in a comedy/romance version of Steve McQueens Shame basically. A nice older woman making a man out of Jon was nice to see but his character development was very minimal. JGL is always great to watch, Scarlett is pure eye candy in this and the film flows nicely despite it not being a film that didnt resonate with me much

Surprisingly thoughtful, stylish and emotionally sharp, Don Jon is one of the most pleasant surprises of its year. Joseph Gordon-Levitt makes an assured debut as writer-director-star, crafting a modern character piece that’s brisk, funny and grounded in honest insights. Scarlett Johansson is pitch-perfect as a woman whose self-image is rooted in fantasy, and Tony Danza is a scene-stealing stroke of genius. The pacing flies, the stylistic flourishes land and the result is a film that’s both entertaining and quietly profound. A Sundance standout that earns its place.
