matthias s *Donkey's Christmas Shrektacular* has all the makings of a festive treat, but it's like a Christmas stocking with only a few candies inside. Clocking in at a mere 8 minutes, it's the blink-and-you'll-miss-it of holiday specials. But hey, good things come in small packages, right? This bite-sized film is practically one big musical number. Sure, it's short, but it packs enough catchy tunes and lively scenes to keep you tapping your toes through the entire runtime. The standout moment? The Puss in Boots song! Hilarious and toe-tapping, it's a meow-sterpiece that steals the show. But truth be told, this Shrektacular could've used a bit more substance. A longer runtime would have allowed for a deeper storyline and more character development. Nonetheless, for a quick burst of holiday cheer, it's not too shabby. Just be ready to jingle all the way through this miniature musical adventure! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Happy Holidays Donkey Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/30/22 Full Review Audience Member Pretty generic, not much to say about it. The animation's nice, the caroling's amusing and I liked how Gingy utterly roasted Pinocchio like a chestnut but seems to exist largely so that DreamWorks can prolong the Shrek IP's existence for as long as it possibly can. To cut a long story short, Shrek the Halls was the better Christmas special and Donkey's Christmas Shrek-Tacular is only worth watching if you're a completionist. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member This is Shrek's worst holiday special ever, ****ing ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews
