Fatherless fable Don't Come Back from the Moon is a small-sized affecting coming-of-age tale with a big scale heart and thought-provoking conviction. Thoroughly probing and perceptive, the conscious cow does not need to jump over this heart-breaking Moon.

I wanted to like this movie more. I think it deals with an original concept and handles an issue I'm intrigued by (abandonment). However, it's done in a way that is ultimately kind of dull and I was bored at times.

The dads leave. Turns out they are in the next town. Symbolism is forced....and weak. Plot, characters, and setting are yawn worthy at best. The acters performed well. Its not clever-its a waste of time. Its not abstract-its tired. So am I. Save yourself an hour and a half, and pass on this one.
