Ben Sachs Chicago Reader The results feel like a cross between a bad student film and an overlong Levi's commercial. Apr 8, 2020 Full Review Justin Chang Los Angeles Times There's a lot of poetry and soul to it. Sep 14, 2019 Full Review Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com The ethereally barren strangeness of both the locale and the bizarre events are fascinating. Rated: 2.5/4 Jan 22, 2019 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue Aside from some heavy-handed visual gimmickry, this is a quietly powerful glimpse into fractured families and the importance of male role models. Feb 22, 2019 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall While the ending feels a little glib, it still carries an emotional kick. Rated: 3.5/5 Jan 29, 2019 Full Review Frank Ochieng ScreenAnarchy Fatherless fable Don't Come Back from the Moon is a small-sized affecting coming-of-age tale with a big scale heart and thought-provoking conviction. Thoroughly probing and perceptive, the conscious cow does not need to jump over this heart-breaking Moon. Rated: 3/4 Jan 24, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Just a whole town of dads leaving . Like a apocalyptic wasteland . I just thought that was pretty dumb 1.9/5 Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/09/21 Full Review Audience Member I wanted to like this movie more. I think it deals with an original concept and handles an issue I'm intrigued by (abandonment). However, it's done in a way that is ultimately kind of dull and I was bored at times. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Wow, what a snooze-fest. The dads leave then nothing happens that is not covered by an after school special. Terrific actors are wasted on an uninteresting story. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Story left a lot of unanswered questions and lacked excitement. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/19/19 Full Review Audience Member Decent, different but would have like to see deeper issue, the emotions were to be expected. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member The dads leave. Turns out they are in the next town. Symbolism is forced....and weak. Plot, characters, and setting are yawn worthy at best. The acters performed well. Its not clever-its a waste of time. Its not abstract-its tired. So am I. Save yourself an hour and a half, and pass on this one. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews
