Stronger E What a silly movie! It was clearly made for kids or people with limited intelligence. The film was terrible. The idea was good, but they messed it up. After seeing the first few scenes, I wanted to slap the filmmakers. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/05/24 Full Review Donald Freeman B This movie was horrible, if I could it no stars that would be accurate. The actors did the most stupid things, although fear does express in different ways, but the things they should have done, verses what they actually did was just plain stupid. And the creature in the way that it killed everyone was horrible acting. I have been a fan of slashers, creatures, thrillers, etc for years, and this is on the top of my list of the worst creature features horror flick ever. I wouldn't waist my time on a part 2 if there is or ever be one. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/28/24 Full Review J.R. R This isn't as bad as everyone says. I'm a creature feature lover though so if that's not your thing you might want to pass. The creature was practical so not too bad. The ending is what put me off. Spoiler - One of the kids shows up at an RV that supposedly his mother and the creature are inside. He pulls a gun like he's ready to shoot and all of a sudden a group of guys shows up and everything comes to a confusing end. The guy's are walking around like everything's over and even going into the RV with the monster evidently gone. The camera pans back to the kid who's just standing there with a real sad look on his face and the movie ends. What the?..... Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/18/24 Full Review Mark M DON'T SPEAK/SILENT PLACE is a truly derivative movie. The "government-engineered bioweapon on the loose" has been done many, many times before - and mostly better. Then the creature design was obviously inspired by the Xenomorphs of the ALIEN franchise. Like those critters, it either hangs it's victims in cocoons or implants eggs in those whom it attacks. And its sound-locating monster was obviously based on A QUIET PLACE, which had only been released 2 years earlier. The movie is terribly padded with shots of people moving very slowly while panting most of the time. No one ever once seems to take it into their heads to look for a weapon against the monster. But the worst aspect of the film is that the writer and director keep everything ambivalent; for example, Rita (the Mum) ends up in a cocoon in a trailer with the monster. The army, which shows up at the last moment [a la THE MIST (2007)] fires an offscreen shot into the trailer. Were they giving Mum a mercy killing or eliminating the creature? We'll never know, and won't care anyway. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/16/24 Full Review Valerie H Could not figure out if the actors were British, American, or Irish. Very slow. Not scary. I don't think it's funny either. It's just...Bad. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/14/24 Full Review Clarence J This movie was sooo stupid! But in a hilarious type of way! 😂 Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/10/24 Full Review Read all reviews
